How to Choose a Generative AI Course in Nagpur: 9 Questions to Ask Before You Pay

Choosing a generative AI course in Nagpur? Ask these 9 questions on projects, tools, fees, refunds and placement before you pay. Free checklist inside.

Student comparing a generative AI course in Nagpur with a checklist of questions

Every institute now sells a generative AI course in Nagpur.

Some teach you to write better ChatGPT prompts. Some teach you to build AI apps in Python. A few teach you to ship them into a real company.

All three are called "Generative AI".

The fees run from ₹1,999 to about ₹2 lakh, and most enrolments are non-refundable once you pay. So the questions you ask before paying matter more than the brochure.

In this guide you'll get:

  • The GenAI Course Ladder, a simple way to tell which kind of course you're looking at
  • Published fees and hours for real options Nagpur learners compare
  • 9 questions to ask in any demo or counselling session, with the answers to listen for
  • A free printable checklist

Disclosure: Fireblaze AI School runs several of the programs mentioned here. Other providers' details come only from their own public pages or press coverage.

A generative AI course in Nagpur is a classroom or live online program that teaches you to use, build or deploy AI systems that create text, images or code with a large language model (LLM). The right one depends on which of those three you need, what you already know, and whether the provider shows working projects and written fee terms.

Quick answer: generative AI course in Nagpur (November 2026)

  • Generative AI courses come in three kinds: tool-use courses (prompting, no coding), builder courses (Python, APIs, RAG and agents) and deployment courses (evaluation, Docker, CI/CD); match the kind to your goal first.
  • Published options for Nagpur learners in November 2026 ranged from ₹1,999 for a self-paced prompt engineering course to about ₹2,00,000 for IIM Nagpur's 8-month AI and GenAI program for managers.
  • The strongest test in a demo class is asking to see a past student's GenAI project running live, then asking how it was evaluated.
  • India's Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) guidelines of November 2024 bar coaching providers from false claims of guaranteed selection or job security, so treat any "guaranteed job" promise as a red flag.
  • Read the refund, deferral and EMI terms before paying: Fireblaze AI School's own policy (updated May 2026) gives no refunds once a batch is confirmed and treats EMI enrolments as non-cancellable.

The GenAI Course Ladder: Three Kinds of Generative AI Course in Nagpur

The GenAI Course Ladder sorts every generative AI course into three rungs: Use (applying AI tools in your job), Build (writing Python code that calls LLMs, retrieval and agents) and Ship (evaluating, deploying and maintaining those systems for a real business). Most bad course decisions in Nagpur come from buying the wrong rung.

Here's how the rungs differ:

Rung What you learn Coding needed Typical outcome
Use Prompt engineering, ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, GitHub Copilot, AI tools for analysis or marketing None You do your current or next job faster
Build Python, LLM APIs, embeddings, a vector database, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), agents, tool calling Python, comfortably You can build an AI feature or prototype
Ship Evaluation suites, guardrails, tracing, Docker, CI/CD, security, customer handover Working coding experience You can put AI into production for someone else

None of these rungs is "better". A marketing graduate needs Use, and a final-year CS student needs Build.

A developer with three years in IT may want Ship.

The problem is labels. A two-month course in AI image tools and an eight-week module on RAG and agents can both sit under "Generative AI course in Nagpur" in search results.

Decide your rung first. Then compare courses on that rung only.

Generative AI Course Fees in Nagpur: What Is on Offer

Generative AI course fees for Nagpur learners ranged from ₹1,999 to about ₹2,00,000 on the public pages we checked in November 2026, and the spread is mostly explained by rung, live hours and who issues the certificate.

Provider and program Rung Published fee Format and length Who it is for
Fireblaze AI School self-paced Prompt Engineering course Use ₹1,999 incl. GST Self-paced, 15 lessons, no live classes Anyone, no coding
Fireblaze AI School self-paced RAG and Agentic AI Build ₹1,999 each incl. GST Self-paced, 20 and 15 lessons, graded project People who already code
Fireblaze AI School AI Marketing Pro Use ₹55,000 incl. GST 3 months, Nagpur classroom or live online Non-technical graduates
Fireblaze AI School PGP in Data Science & Analytics with GenAI Use, with ML foundation ₹89,000 incl. GST 6 months; GenAI is Module 6 Freshers wanting a data career
Fireblaze AI School Applied AI Forward Deployment Engineering Build and Ship ₹99,000 online, ₹1,29,999 Nagpur classroom, incl. GST 26 weeks, weekends IT professionals with 1 to 8 years' experience
Boston Institute of Analytics, Ravi Nagar GenAI and Agentic AI Build Not published on the page we read 200+ hours with LangChain, AutoGen and CrewAI; classroom plus online Developers and data professionals
IIM Nagpur with TimesPro PG Certificate in AI and GenAI for Managers Use, for managers About ₹2,00,000 on a third-party RiseUpp listing, which also says the fee isn't published on the program page; GST not stated 8 months, 105 learning hours, online plus 2 days on campus Graduates with 3+ years' work experience

Checked 8 November 2026. Fees change often, so confirm the current number in writing.

Two quick reads of this table:

  1. Cost per live hour varies hugely. At the listed fee, IIM Nagpur's program works out at roughly ₹1,900 per learning hour (₹2,00,000 ÷ 105). Ask every provider for live hours and do the same sum.
  2. "Generative AI" inside a bigger program is not the same as a GenAI course. At Fireblaze, generative AI is Module 6 of the PGP, taught after Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, statistics and machine learning. That's deliberate, but if you only want GenAI, it's a lot of extra course.

Note: Before paying anywhere, ask whether the fee includes GST, study material, paid AI tool access and the certificate exam.

Question 1: Which Rung of the Ladder Is This Course?

Ask the counsellor to place the course on the Use, Build or Ship rung, and to show the module list that proves it. A builder course will show Python, APIs, embeddings and RAG in the syllabus. A tool-use course will show prompting and named tools.

Listen for a direct answer. Good: "It's a Use course. You'll learn ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini for analysis, but you won't write Python against an API." Weak: "It covers everything in Generative AI."

Then check the answer against your goal:

  • Want to work faster in your current job? A Use course is enough, often just a short prompt engineering course. For marketers, look for SEO, ads and content work done with AI tools.
  • Want an AI engineer or developer role? You need Build. If the syllabus has no Python and no API work, it won't get you there.
  • Already a developer? Look for Ship. Weeks of prompting basics will bore you.

Question 2: Can the Generative AI Course in Nagpur Show You a Project That Runs?

The best five-minute test for any generative AI course in Nagpur is the Running Demo Test: ask to see one past student's GenAI project working live, then ask three questions about it. Slides and screenshots don't count.

The three questions:

  1. "What happens when I ask it something outside its documents?" A good RAG chatbot says it doesn't know, or cites a source. A weak one invents an answer (that's a hallucination).
  2. "How did the student know it worked?" Listen for a test set of questions, a pass rate, or a named method. "We tried it and it looked good" is a red flag.
  3. "What did it cost to run, per 100 questions?" Builders who used real LLM APIs know their token costs roughly. Students who only watched videos don't.

Why does this work? Because interviewers for AI roles ask the same things. A course that produces students who can answer them is teaching generative AI, not just tool tours.

Ask to see it run, then ask what happens when it fails.

Question 3: When Was the Generative AI Course Syllabus Last Updated?

Ask for the date the generative AI syllabus was last revised, because model and tool names in this field change within months. A good provider can tell you the month and what changed.

You can check this before the demo.

Fireblaze's Artificial Intelligence course page shows "Last updated: August 2026". Its Forward Deployed Engineer course shows "Curriculum last updated: 21 September 2026". If a page shows no date at all, ask.

What to look for in a current GenAI syllabus (late 2026):

  • When to use RAG versus fine-tuning, and when plain SQL beats both
  • More than one model family, for example ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, compared on the same task rather than taught as a brand
  • RAG with evaluation, not just "build a chatbot"
  • Agents and tool use, including the Model Context Protocol (MCP) for connecting models to tools
  • Cost and limits: tokens, context windows, latency

If the syllabus centres on GANs and VAEs with no mention of LLM applications, the course may be teaching 2020's generative AI. That's useful theory, but it isn't what most job descriptions ask for now.

Question 4: Do You Teach Evaluation, or Only Prompting?

Evaluation is the skill that separates a GenAI demo from a GenAI system, so a builder or deployment course should teach how to measure whether an AI answer is right. That means test question sets ("golden datasets"), pass rates, and checks for hallucination.

Ask: "Show me the lesson where students measure their app." Concrete answers sound like:

  • "Students build a set of 50 test questions with correct answers and track the pass rate after each change."
  • "We use RAGAS to score retrieval quality."
  • "We trace every call in Langfuse or LangSmith to see why the model answered that way."

For reference, Fireblaze's self-paced RAG course lists RAGAS evaluation, and its Forward Deployed Engineer program lists golden datasets, LLM-as-judge and regression testing in its 8-week AI application phase.

For a Use course, the equivalent question is simpler: "Do you teach students to check AI output for mistakes before using it?" If the answer is no, you'll learn to produce wrong work faster.

If a course never measures its own AI apps, neither will you.

Question 5: Is It Really a Generative AI Course for Beginners?

Ask for the prerequisites in writing, because a course sold as a generative AI course for beginners may still assume Python from week one. Builder and deployment GenAI courses move fast, and a good counsellor will tell you honestly if you're not ready.

Here's what the prerequisites look like on real pages:

  • Fireblaze's Forward Deployed Engineer program requires working knowledge of at least one programming language and tells absolute beginners to start with a Python course first.
  • IIM Nagpur's AI and GenAI program for managers asks for a bachelor's degree and at least three years of work experience (Tribune, April 2026).
  • Fireblaze's self-paced prompt engineering course needs no coding; its RAG and AI agents courses assume Python.

A provider that enrols everyone into the same GenAI batch, whatever their background, is optimising for admissions, not outcomes.

Pro tip: Ask: "If I'm not ready for this course, which one would you send me to instead?" The quality of that answer tells you a lot about the institute.

Question 6: Who Teaches the GenAI Part, and What Have They Built?

Ask for the name of the person who teaches the generative AI module and one thing they have built or deployed with LLMs. "Industry experts" on a brochure is not an answer, for any generative AI training in Nagpur, classroom or online.

Good signs:

  • A named mentor with a LinkedIn profile you can check
  • A specific project ("a RAG assistant for a bank's internal policies", "an agent that files support tickets") rather than a list of tools
  • Willingness to let you sit in on that mentor's class before paying

Fireblaze, for example, runs free demo classes and workshops at its Mate Square, Nandanvan and Sadar centres and publishes its faculty page. Use demo days at any institute to meet the actual GenAI teacher, not only the counsellor.

Question 7: What Is the All-In Cost?

The all-in cost of a generative AI course is the fee plus GST, any paid AI tools or API credits, EMI charges and the laptop you need for labs. Ask for the first four in writing.

Cost item What to ask
Course fee Is this the price after discount? Is the discount date-limited?
GST (18%) Is GST included or extra?
Paid tools and API credits Will I need a paid ChatGPT, Claude or Gemini plan, or API credits, and who pays?
EMI Which lender, what interest or processing fee, and is the loan cancellable?
Certificate exam Is any assessment fee extra?

There's also money you might get back. FutureSkills Prime, a platform of MeitY and NASSCOM, lists a government (GOI) incentive on eligible courses, linked to clearing the SSC NASSCOM assessment. Check the current incentive amount and claim rules on FutureSkills Prime before you count on it.

Fireblaze's PGP is listed on FutureSkills Prime with "GOI Incentive applicable: Yes" and a NASSCOM assessment (FutureSkills Prime listing). So ask any provider claiming NASSCOM alignment: "Is my batch eligible for the incentive, and how do I take the assessment?"

All-in generative AI course fees in Nagpur including GST, tools and EMI
The fee on the brochure is rarely the number you pay.

Question 8: What Does "Placement" Mean for a Generative AI Course?

Placement for a generative AI course in Nagpur means placement assistance (resume work, mock interviews, introductions), not a job guarantee, and India's consumer regulator now treats false guaranteed-job claims by coaching providers as misleading. The CCPA guidelines issued on 13 November 2024 prohibit false claims about courses, fees, refund policies, selections and success rates, and guaranteed selection or job security.

Enforcement is real. By April 2025 the CCPA had issued 49 notices and fined 24 coaching centres a total of ₹77.60 lakh (Taxmann).

Now the honest market picture. AI and ML hiring is growing: Naukri's JobSpeak report showed AI/ML roles up 20% year on year in September 2026, against 2% for white-collar hiring overall (Naukri). But the same report says demand stayed higher for experienced professionals.

What that means for you:

  • Freshers: a GenAI course alone rarely lands an "AI engineer" title. Pair it with a foundation (data analytics, development) and a portfolio. Our AI engineer salary in Nagpur guide shows what entry roles pay.
  • Working professionals: AI skills can lift you in your current role. In Microsoft and LinkedIn's 2024 Work Trend Index, 80% of Indian leaders said they'd hire a less experienced candidate with AI skills over a more experienced one without them (Microsoft India).

Ask every provider for the last batch's placement report with the denominator: how many joined, how many finished, how many got roles, at what titles. Fireblaze publishes named alumni on its reviews page and says on its placements page that it does not advertise placement guarantees.

Important: If anyone promises a guaranteed AI job in exchange for a fee, walk away.

Question 9: What Are the Refund, Deferral and EMI Terms?

Read the refund, deferral and EMI terms before you pay, because most Nagpur institutes, Fireblaze included, do not refund fees once a batch is confirmed. That's legal as long as it's disclosed, but it means your decision has to be right before payment, not after the first class.

Here's what Fireblaze's own refund policy (last updated 24 May 2026) says, as an example of what to look for:

  • No refunds once payment is made and the batch is confirmed. Registration fees are non-refundable.
  • EMI enrolments are non-cancellable. Once a loan through a financing partner is disbursed, you keep paying the EMI even if you stop attending.
  • One free deferral to a later batch, if requested before completing 20% of the course and within 6 months of the original start. A second deferral costs 10% plus taxes.
  • Self-paced courses are non-refundable once access is granted.

We're showing our own fine print on purpose. Every provider has terms like these somewhere. Ask for them before the payment link, and check the deferral option if your exam or job schedule might change.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Are there Power BI developer jobs in Nagpur for freshers?

There are a few, mostly internships and trainee roles. In our comparison, 3 of 9 Nagpur Power BI listings accepted freshers. Most freshers start as Data Analyst, MIS Analyst or Associate Analyst and move into a Power BI developer title after 1 to 2 years.

What is the Power BI developer salary in Nagpur?

AmbitionBox estimates for Nagpur firms fall around Rs 3.8 to Rs 5.3 lakh a year for early and mid-career developers, and Rs 8.1 to Rs 10.4 lakh for combined Power BI and Tableau developers. Internships pay about Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 a month.

Is PL-300 required for Power BI jobs?

No. Nagpur listings usually say "preferred", not "required". PL-300 helps you get shortlisted, but employers still test your own dashboards and your DAX in interviews.

How long does it take to learn Power BI for a job?

About 90 days at 18 hours a week is enough to reach interview level if you already know basic Excel. That covers Power Query, data modelling, DAX, SQL basics, report design and the Power BI Service.

Which companies hire Power BI developers in Nagpur?

Recent Nagpur listings came from InfoCepts, Altimetrik, Nice Software Solutions, Pinnacle Teleservices, Percept Infosystem and KC Overseas Education. Non-IT companies also hire for MIS and reporting roles that use Power BI.

Do I need coding to become a Power BI developer?

You need DAX and SQL, which are formula and query languages rather than full programming. Python helps at mid and senior levels, as some Nagpur listings ask for it, but it is not required to start.
